DESCRIPTION:Learn more about Life Sciences at December’s Executive Speaker Series event.  We’ll focus on this fast growing industry currently represented by more than 1\,100 life science organizations located in 110 cities spanning Washington\, with the sector adding new life science firms at the rate of about 80 per year. \nDid you know? \n\nLife science employment jumped around 18 percent in Seattle from 2014-2017\, which makes it the fastest of any city in the US. Life sciences employment statewide has grown to more than 90\,000 jobs.\nThe life sciences industry represented $22.7 billion in total economic activity and contributed $11.5 billion in value-added activity to the state’s gross domestic product in 2017.\nWashington is 4th in the nation for attracting bioscience venture capital distribution.
