DESCRIPTION:If you are here\, you’ve surely heard about the recent executive orders targeting federal research funding\, which have caused many local and national researchers to be extremely concerned. The orders have immediate consequences for the thousands of people whose livelihoods depend on this funding and drastic long-term consequences for public health and the advancement of science in Washington and the US. \nBecause of this\, a group of early-career scientists came together to participate in the national Stand Up for Science rallies by hosting a local event in Seattle. \nTogether\, across the nation\, we will rally for: \n– Securing and expanding scientific funding \n– Ending censorship and political interference in science \n– Defending diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, and accessibility in science \nYou can read more about these policy goals here. \nHelp us get the word out by sharing our flyer\, social media flyer\, and press release. \nPlease join us on Friday March 7th to STAND UP FOR SCIENCE!
