See below for a schedule of upcoming speakers and view video presentations from past speakers. \n\n\nBence Ölveczky | March 31\, 2021\nNeural circuits underlying motor skill learning and execution \n\n\nThis talk will introduce a motor skill learning paradigm that trains stereotyped complex motor sequences in rodents. By recording and manipulating neural activity in the basal ganglia\, motor cortex and thalamus\, we delineate the logic by which these circuits work together to promote the acquisition and control of task-specific motor sequences. I will also talk about recent work we have done to probe how the brain controls naturalistic movements across behavioral contexts. \nBence Ölveczky is a Professor of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology at Harvard University.
