Hafner is co-founder of the acclaimed Lost Women of Science initiative and podcast\, which tells the stories of remarkable women whose scientific contributions were overlooked\, forgotten\, or marginalized. During this one-hour Zoom webinar\, Hafner will begin with a 30-minute presentation exploring the origins and mission of Lost Women of Science\, the importance of historical storytelling in science\, and the initiative’s growing impact on public understanding of scientific discovery. The presentation will be followed by a 30-minute conversation between Hafner and Brunkow\, discussing the Lost Women of Science project\, the evolving role of women in science\, scientific recognition and visibility\, and related topics at the intersection of research\, culture\, and discovery.

The speaker gives a short talk about their area of interest\, followed by a break to fill up on coffee and a time for small group discussions.
