Current Biology Seminar – Dr. Rodrigo Fernandez-Gonzalez

The Basic Sciences Division hosts a weekly Current Biology Seminar series where leading-edge researchers are invited from around the world to share their latest scientific breakthroughs. Lectures are typically every Tuesday and are held as virtual events.
Speaker: Rodrigo Fernandez-Gonzalez, Ph.D.
The Fernandez-Gonzalez Lab uses a combination of bioengineering, molecular and cell biological tools in the fruit fly embryo to determine the mechanisms that integrate the behaviours of multiple cells to generate specific changes in tissue organization. The lab investigates the molecular and cellular mechanisms of collective cell movements during a variety of processes using a three-pronged approach.
