ISB’s Research Roundtable – Long COVID: New Clues from the Immune System

October 13 - 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Free
Join us for a Research Roundtable with ISB President Jim Heath, PhD, exploring new research into the biology of Long COVID. Dr. Heath will discuss emerging findings on persistent immune responses and autoantibodies in people with Long COVID, and what these signals may reveal about the mechanisms underlying prolonged symptoms following SARS-CoV-2 infection. Dr. Heath will also discuss plans for an upcoming NIH-sponsored Long COVID Hackathon, which will bring together clinical and biological experts to mine an extensive dataset on more than 17,000 individuals collected through the national RECOVER initiative. The hackathon will utilize a novel AI framework developed at ISB by Andrew Magis, PhD. A Q&A will follow the presentation. This free virtual event is open to everyone, regardless of scientific background. Registration is required to attend.
