Stand Up for Science 2025
If you are here, you’ve surely heard about the recent executive orders targeting federal research funding, which have caused many local and national researchers to be extremely concerned. The orders have immediate consequences for the thousands of people whose livelihoods depend on this funding and drastic long-term consequences for public health and the advancement of science in Washington and the US.
Because of this, a group of early-career scientists came together to participate in the national Stand Up for Science rallies by hosting a local event in Seattle.
Together, across the nation, we will rally for:
– Securing and expanding scientific funding
– Ending censorship and political interference in science
– Defending diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in science
