Welcome to the 2022–23 Incoming Cohort of Nephrology Fellows

The UW Division of Nephrology is excited to welcome the 2022-23 incoming cohort of nephrology fellows! Drs. Lauren Haggerty, Jae Kim, Amruta Nair, Justin Bullock, and Anna Zemke will be joining the division.

Justin Bullock (University of California San Francisco): Originally from Detroit, Michigan Justin completed his BS in chemical and biological engineering at MIT where he was two-time NCAA All-American in Track & Field. He subsequently completed his medical degree at UCSF and received his MPH from the University of California Berkeley. Justin elected to remain at UCSF for his internal medicine residency where he currently leads studies focused on equity in assessment and identity safety in the clinical learning environment. Justin enjoys most outdoor activities, continues to run competitively and writes frequently in his spare time.

Lauren Haggerty (University of California San Diego): Lauren is the current Chief Resident at UCSD where she completed her internal medicine residency. She originally hails from Mercer Island and attended the University of Washington where she majored in neurobiology. Following her undergraduate years, Lauren taught middle school mathematics in Hartford, CT as a Teach For America corps member. She subsequently completed her medical studies at the University of Vermont. Lauren is an avid hiker, wood carver and baker and is passionate about health and education equity.
