UW Bioengineering Ph.D. students Ryan Ressmeyer, Murial Ross, and Iona Veras-Tobos are recipients of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowships.
The fellowship recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in National Science Foundation-supported science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines who are pursuing research-based master’s and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions.
The students will receive a three-year annual stipend of $37,000 along with a $12,000 cost of education allowance for tuition and fees to the university. Fellows also have access to opportunities for international research and professional development, along with the freedom to conduct their own research.
