Friday marked the first full week of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center’s Science Education Program.
It was also the first time the program made a stop in Spokane!
The program helps teachers get hands-on experience in laboratory research. The program provides each teacher with a free kit in order for them to practice conducting science experiments on their own so that they can take what they’ve learned back to their kids in the classroom.
One of the program’s coordinators says one of the program’s main goals is to help inspire future scientists.
