Washington Research Foundation (WRF) has approved a $250,000 technology commercialization grant to support groundbreaking research led by Joshua Veatch, MD, Ph.D., at Fred Hutch Cancer Center (Fred Hutch). The team is testing CD4 T-cell therapy for a wide range of cancers including melanoma, lung cancer and Merkel cell carcinoma, providing new hope for patients with these devastating illnesses. Veatch’s collaborators on this project include McGarry Houghton, MD, and Anthony Rongvaux, Ph.D., of Fred Hutch, along with Paul Nghiem, MD, Ph.D., of the University of Washington’s Department of Dermatology.
